Three famous late 19th-century compositions by French composer Erik Satie. These short, atmospheric pieces are written in 3/4 time, and share a common musical vocabulary. They are regarded as an important precursor to modern ambient music, and they defied the classical tradition of the time with their gentle, slightly eccentric sound.
