Time Lapse Doppler Radar imagery of Hurricane Ivan which made landfall as a category 3 storm near Mobile, Alabama on September 16th, 2004 at approximately 2 a.m. CDT.

Ivan caused an estimated US$18 billion (2004 USD, $20.9 billion 2011 USD) in damages to the United States, making it the sixth costliest hurricane ever to strike the country.
