In the distance, on the river, see a dense forest of trees. Birds in flight above the river. The Danube is the second longest of the rivers of Europe (after the Volga), the only European river that flows from west to east. Carpathians and the Danube is beside the Black Sea, one of the major components of the landscape, to which Romania define settlement on the continent.
