The Tomb of the Unknowns or Unknown Soldier is a monument dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified. Located on a hill in Arlington National Cemetery overlooking Washington DC. First authorized in 1921. It is guarded by soldiers from 3rd Infantry Regiment The Old Guard. True professionals and precise in every movement. Weapons include the M14 rifle. All movement is in 21 seconds or 21 steps in honor of the war soldiers. The Honor Guard has been post 24 hours a day since 1937. The cemetery comprises 624 acres and is being expanded. Over 400 000 graves are currently placed.
