MotionElements (ME) proudly announces its membership to the Picture Archive Council of America (PACA).
PACA is the trade organization in North America that has been representing the interests of stock archives, both individuals and companies alike, since 1981.
Through the use of advocacy, education, and communication between its members, including some 100 North American companies joined by 50 more International members, PACA strives to promote useful business standards and ethical practices within the picture archive community.
Guided by the mission statement: “To foster and protect the interests of the picture archive community through advocacy, education and communication”, the PACA strives to foster and protect the interests of its members through monitoring laws and court filings that affect the stock photo industry. This ensures that members’ clients and artists alike enjoy the highest degree of honesty, integrity and fair play.
The move to join the PACA signals a welcome response by ME to adapt to the digital revolution that has dramatically changed the stock photo industry and intellectual property protection.
By being informed in the latest developments in an industry that predates the rest of the digital microstock industry, and with the guidance of the PACA Code of Ethics, ME commits to safeguard the interests of its growing number of Buyers and Artists in the midst of a constantly evolving industry in its standards and practices.
