Artist kalfasso has a portfolio of After Effects Templates which can honestly speak for itself as one of the Featured Artists of MotionElements this month.

However, we decided to give him an actual voice by sending some questions to him all the way in Gdańsk, Poland, to find out more about the man behind the work.

MotionElements: What are you working on now?

Kalfasso: I do many things at once. I design graphics and trailers for mobile games, teach Motion Design Classes at Warsaw Animation School, and occasionally cooperate with big companies like BP, BBC or Nike making commercials or presentation videos for them. And in every spare time I find I create After Effects templates for stock marketplaces like MotionElements.

ME: What’s the most enjoyable thing about what you do?

K: I get new challenges everyday so I’m never bored. I need to improve my skills and suit to new design trends all the time. Looking at a finished work is the most enjoyable thing of entire creation process.

ME: What tickles your creative bone? Who/What is your biggest muse?

K: I meet other designers and we exchange experiences. I browse Pinterest, Instagram and blogs all the time, it’s the best way to keep your mind fresh.

ME: When and How did you start of selling stock?

K: I used to design and create many AE projects for my friends or myself for different occasions. Then I decided to give selling them online a shot.

I prepared these easy-to-use templates and uploaded them on a marketplace just a couple to see if people liked them. They turned up quite popular, so I’ve kept up with it till now.

ME: Do you have a favourite piece you made? If so, what is it and why is it your favourite? (Include element link or lD if on ME)

Yes, there is one favorite stock i made:

MotionElements Stock Footage

I like this project because I had to improve myself in many different ways to finish it. I needed to prepare some 3D objects, which were working good with the plexus plugin. I rendered many scenes – not so slow, not so quick, just perfect to read the text – and track text layers to the web vertices. Finally, I edited it to the sound, and prepared for customers. It was a lot of fun!

If you were given a chance to work on 1 dream project, which software would you use to produce it and why?

Obviously i would use After Effects. It gives You millions of possibilities in user friendly environment. You may see Your project progress all the time and You see results quite fast.

How would you describe the work that you do?

I always try to be fresh and follow the design trends. A wise man once said “less is more”, so I don’t put needless elements into a project that are not essential. I like when the end product looks professional and I never upload a project that i wouldn’t use myself.
