Earlier this year, we kick-started 2016 with a bang, launching an in-house social media competition to celebrate the launch of its new AudioSearch feature. Smart, fast and functional, AudioSearch exists to make it easy for video makers to source premium quality stock, at affordable prices.

Running from Jan 7 to 24, the competition was designed to track down some of the most exciting up and coming digital artists, and reward them for their contributions to the global industry. Simply by shouting out about #SearchWithAudio on social media put contestants in the running to win the competition, and score 300 MotionElements credits. They were then free to spend these on the stock media of their choice. Now the competition has wrapped up, here’s a glimpse at the three hugely talented winners, and how they plan to spend their winnings.

Conscious Films

Conscious Films, an Australian based production company behind the Documentary Australia Foundation. Powerful and moving, Dandelions was created to make a statement about the global issue of child abuse, neglect and abandonment in foster homes. Via MotionElements, creator Ginene R Humphrey was able to source a stunning dandelion graphic, which was used throughout the film. As the documentary nears the end of post-production, the credits will be used to finalise the project and give it the finishing touches it deserves.

김종찬

Winner number two was 김종찬 (Kim Jong Chan). Hailing from South Korea, he’s a digital advertising agency account executive with a dream of starting his own website. In 2016, he’ll bring this vision to life by using his 300 credits to purchase video footage and stock music via the MotionElements marketplace. He’ll use these to create his own personal artworks, and build up his business from scratch. Best of luck to Kim!

twfunkypop

Made in Japan, @twfunkypop (Kenta Takahashi) is a graphic design school graduate with his sights set on turning his self-built enterprise HotNumber Design into one of the country’s leading digital agencies. This guy is particularly inspirational, as he fractured his neck in a bike accident in 2007, and was almost permanently paralysed from the neck down. After undergoing intensive rehabilitation, he’s now back to work and spending his personal time helping others who’ve suffered from severe spinal cord injuries. The credits will go towards supporting HotNumber Design, and helping it grow and expand throughout 2016.

Congratulations to all our winners!
