Python reticulatus.Class: Reptilia ;Order: Squamata ;Family: Boidae ; The Reticulated python is the largest snake in the world –up to 9 metres long– a record that only the South American anaconda con compete with, although the python is not so heavily built. However, the species most commonly measures between 5 and 6-m long. Females, like the large majority of snake species, tend to be larger than the males.
