Hiking sandstone mountains Zion National Park Utah. Famous natural red sandstone rock mountains. Located in Southwest Utah near St George and Springdale. Formed by the Virgin River. Private vehicles are allowed in part of the park but during summer tourism months park trams and buses take people to various scenic stops. At the end of the valley road is the Narrows slot canyon. Hiking this beautiful area as narrow as 20 feet wide and 2 000 feet tall sandstone towers. An early native Indian settlement area now enjoyed by millions of tourists from around the world.
