The Arc de Triomphe in Blagoveshchensk today is the only structure of its kind in the entire Far East. Annunciation triumphal arch was erected in June 1891 by the architect Joseph Bukovicka, its construction was timed for the arrival of the Crown Prince Nikolai Alexandrovich - the future Emperor Nicholas II.
